Coat season has definitely arrived and I can image many of you searching for the perfect winter coat, isn’t that what we do every season ? I was looking for a navy coat this season because I felt it would be a true longterm classic, a color I was told suits me, and in fact I think suits everyone, it’s a little more gentle than black and so easy to combine. I love Alana Zimmer’s mannish coat and the way she combined with grey wool trousers and white knit.

I found my dream coat at Stella McCartney, the Fiamma coat , which admittedly is a big investment. I haven’t regretted it, the coat is of thick soft wool that actually keeps you warm which isn’t always a given. You can find great less pricy coats at COS of course,  they also have navy, and on my trip to Oslo I discovered the brand FWSS (FallWinterSpringSummer) which makes a great wool coat in grey and black, I tried them on, they have a great fit and super convenient large pockets.
