While there is a constant rave about French chic or Scandi style, my very cool recent trip to Sydney fashion week made me think Sydney deserves there own high ranking for minimal chic, and probably the highest ranking when it comes to fashion bloggers who really step it up here.

As mentioned in previous posts about fashion week, I was really surprised to see so much black and white, layering, oversized dresses, in general a very relaxed yet elegant minimal chic. Next to colours, lace and very sporty looks also, very fitting because there was a general healthy and sporty vibe with a good attitude.

I also loved the fact that a lot of girls wore heels for a change, everything felt a bit more dressed up for the event.

Here are some of those simple examples I really liked, that black skirt and long shirt on Sara Donaldson, similar to the girl on the 5th photo they both combine it with the most perfect heel I can imagine for summer, a simple strap sandal.

Or Kate Waterhouse on the last photo in that beautiful silk ensemble by Christopher Esber.

Designers I found amazing for these looks are Ellery, Tome, Christopher Esber, Josh Goot (the black and white dress on Christine Centennera here).

I also discovered Scanlan Theodore which has a bit lower prices and a huge selection of cool yet interesting basics (amazing basic t-shirts and ‘céline-like’ tops). They deliver internationally on their online shop.
