My first ever Sydney post ! And my first ever visit to Australia actually, I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. While I haven’t seen much of the city yet (I have plans for after fashion week Bondi Beahc and shopping and nature action) fashion week opened today with the Elleryland show.
I was familiar with the label but only vaguely really, I have admired the peplum sleeve tops on Christine Centennera and Irina Lakicevic recently.
The peplum is of course an ongoing theme in the collection but there was so much more, across the runway came some really powerful and cool looks, that I can imagine any Australian woman would want to wear and elsewhere of course. Stunning coats with interesting details on the buttons, pockets, belts, there were so many details and layerings to this. Long tops over tuxedo trousers and a lot of flat shoes !
