I usually just have a quick glance at fashion newsletters if I even open them. This week’s Moda Operandi newsletter showcasing their Johanna Ortiz trunkshow had a different effect. I’m apparently late in discovering the Columbian designer (I should read ManRepeller more often since Leandra is great at showcasing new talent). I love her romantic off-the-shoulder shirts and dresses and hope to see more of them on the streets next year. Personally I am more into the less ruffled pieces, just the effect of an off the shoulder garment is strong enough for me. And it’s a trend that was hard to miss this season – if you go by street style season versus real world, I am sure we will see a lot of bare shoulders next year.
