Not to confuse you these photos belong to two different women outside the Isabel Marant show today. Not hard to guess the subject is PUMPS, the perfect ones that is. Like the perfect denim, the perfect cachemire sweater or the perfect shirt I am currently searching for the perfect classic pump. I love how a basic look can be immediately chic and sexy with a good heel and a pump is just so classic. Here in Paris it’s great to really go onto a shoe search, with department stores like Printemps, Galleries Lafayettes and le Bon Marché you have pretty much all the options. Many girls I photographed told me they wore Topshop (Jennifer Neyt on a recent post) or Zara (the girl with the pink pumps) and I was surprised how good they looked. I have to say, when it comes to shoes I generally like to invest in good ones as you feel the difference on your feet. I heard that Ferragamo makes the most comfortable heel (Angelika Taschen), and yes this one is pretty damn comfortable for a heel. I love love Jimmy Choo as seen on Emmanuelle Alt for a super sexy heel, problem is, my feet are too wide too look good in them. I heard many ladies swear on Gianvito Rossi lately, Jennifer Neyt and today Tamu (2nd picture). A pricey option but probably the most perfect shape and flattering pump out there. Again, my problem being rather wide feet, I don’t like it when you see part of the toes, so it seems the nicest fit I found so far is this pair by LK Bennett, which comes in a great selection of colours.
And what is your experience, would love to hear it !
Zara all the way. I thought about Manolo’s but shoes get destroyed so quickly.
That’s a good point, it is so frustrating, when expensive shoes get worn out.
