Before Fashionweek month started I was asked by Vogue.com to nominate the next Street Style star. Here is the thing, I don’t go crazy for the word itself, as street style ‘stars’ are often girls that simply show up to every show dressed from head-to-toe in something flashy and that use it as a business model. More interesting are the women who are actually busy working in the field and who have their own authentic style like the editors, models and stylists. One who had inspired me is Norwegian stylist and fashion director of Costume Norway, Hege Aurelie Badendyck. Why ? Well, there is something about Scandinavian dressing that really appeals to me, the colors the simplicity, but often it can be a bit too simple for a fashion look. I think Hege manages to be playful with fashion without being overboard and it is always wearable and a bit sexy. So there you go. Also she is obviously gorgeous !
